What Is Reiki?
Reiki (pronounced ray-kee) is a gentle, hands-on (or hands-off) energy healing practice that originated in Japan in the early 20th century.
Developed by Mikao Usui, Reiki is based on the understanding that the body is guided by a natural life-force energy. When this energy is low, blocked, or depleted, we feel stressed, unbalanced, or unwell. When it flows freely, we feel grounded, clear, and whole.
Reiki clears stagnant energy, calms the nervous system and brings you back into energetic alignment, emotionally, physically, and spiritually.
Each 60 minute session is entirely unique, guided by your energy and intuitive wisdom, incorporating a blend of:

10 minutes — Arrival & Check-In
A grounding conversation where we explore how you’re feeling, what’s present for you, and your intention for the session.
40 minutes — Reiki Energy Healing
You’ll rest comfortably (fully clothed) while gentle, intuitive Reiki techniques are used to move, clear and balance your energetic field.
This may include:
– Light hands-on placements or hands hovering above the body
– Chakra balancing
– Intuitive energetic guidance
– Nervous system calming
– Release of emotional or energetic blockages
10 minutes — Integration & Reflection
We finish with grounding, space to reflect and gentle guidance for what might support you after the session.

Frequently Asked Questions
What will I feel during the session?
Feeling the reiki healing happening is totally dependant on the person who is receiving it. A lot of people feel tingling sensations, temperature changes, a sense of relief, visualisations, colours etc. but for those who don’t experience many of the physical sensations, it doesn’t mean the Reiki healing didn’t work! it is always going to work, whether you feel it tangibly or not
How can I best prepare for the session?
Prior to the session, reflecting on what your intentions are can support a more powerful connection. intentions can be anything you want to call into your life, what you would like to manifest, or anything you would like to release.
What can I do to make the most of the session?
Come with no expectations on what you think “should” happen or come through, & instead come with an open heart
Will I feel the benefits straight away?
This is again dependent on the person receiving. Healing benefits can take up to 21 days to manifest, if not immediately.
What does the Reiki Healer do during the session?
The Reiki healer is essentially moving energy around your aura to create more harmony and connecting the light source Reiki frequency with your chakras to heal your mind, body & soul. The healer is also working with Japanese techniques and sacred symbols to unlock deeper levels of healing.
How many sessions do you need?
Often times, people try one Reiki session and hope to see a huge change in their life. While 1 session is enough to leave you inspired and vibrating higher than before, 1 session sometimes isn’t quite enough to really ignite that deeper inner healing you’re longing for. When you commit to having four or more sessions within a few months time frame, you are giving your mind body & soul the gift it really needs to see improvement in life and your wellbeing.
